The Log File tab is used to designate the location for Utilities to store the loading log (report) files and to record who loaded the data. In addition, you can choose to delete the log files for data that has been successfully loaded.
While loading, Utilities creates a log file of the load operation for each file loaded, both successful and unsuccessful loads. If the file loads successfully, the operator will likely not wish to retain the log file, so the option to auto-delete is provided. In the case where a file fails to load, the operator has two options for evaluation: Utilities creates a Load Error Summary file for each load operation, single- or multi-file, which gives a quick summary of error messages by file. The standard log file is available for detailed evaluation.
